Social Events and Descriptions
Below is a list of regular events held at Clio Country Club. These events can change from year to year so please confirm with our office or calendar for dates and times.
Easter Bunny Social
Come join us at Clio Country Club for the annual Easter Bunny Social on the Saturday before Easter Sunday. This is a great time for young and young at heart to enjoy an egg hunt, a visit from the Easter Bunny, and other surprises. You won't go home hungry, as our kitchen will prepare a menu that is kid and adult approved. Create memories with photo opportunities, meet new friends, and watch the children have fun. The brunch is held in the main dining hall, which will be decorated in an Easter/Spring-time theme. Due to the popularity of this event, participants may be asked to RSVP. Look for complete information in the weeks and days prior to the event.
Kentucky Derby Watch Party Usually in May
AND THEY’RE OFF! Join us as we Run for the Roses at the inaugural Derby Golf event and Derby Watch party. The day starts off with an optional two-person golf event and concludes with a live Kentucky Derby Watch party. The Watch party will begin late afternoon and conclude with the finish of the Kentucky Derby race. Golf event participants are automatically designated “horse owners”. Members (and guests) who are not in the golf event may “purchase” a horse. Prizes will be distributed based on official race results. The home stretch includes Derby snacks and drinks AND a Derby Hat Contest.
Kings & Queens Golf Events: May through September.
Looking for a memorable two hours of golf and fellowship on a Friday night with 100-200 of your friends? Look no further – we have 7 Friday nights of special golf on tap for you and your team. Your “team” can be made up of any combination of 3 or 4 couples/partnerships/pairs. The golf events are either an alternate shot Scramble or an alternate shot Shamble. Each event has a theme and players are encouraged to dress the part. The themes and details below are tentative, but we will go with them unless something unexpected arises. Skin game, 50-50, raffles, special events, and treats are included as part of the overall experience.
July Cornhole Tournament
Calling all CORNSTARS. You are invited to an afternoon of baggin’, sinkin’, and drinkin’. Two-person teams of members and/or guests will team up to determine the BOSS OF THE TOSS. Whether you play or just watch, we guarantee lots of Shuckers, Gushers, and Fun.
Casino Night Usually in August
Feeling LUCKY? ANTE UP and join us for a night of Roulette, Blackjack, Poker, Keno, dealers, dice, prizes, food, and drinks. We are going ALL IN on an unforgettable Vegas-style evening of casino action. Remember, you can’t win if you don’t play!
October Halloween Bash
Join us at Clio Country Club for our annual version of Golf Cart Trunks & Treats. Children in costumes and families are invited to walk the golf cart trails to collect Halloween treats. This is a fun time for youngsters to show off their costumes and spend time with their friends. Additional activities include a pumpkin roll, a photo booth, snacks, drinks, and other surprises. All outdoor activities will be held near the clubhouse, and indoor activities will be in the main dining hall which will be decorated with a Halloween theme. Look for complete information in the weeks and days prior to the event.
December Breakfast/Brunch with Santa
HO-HO-HO. Santa will be in the building! What a special time for our children and families. Don’t miss out on this chance to create special memories with your little ones. There will be photo opportunities, Christmas decorations, and gifts to hand out. A special breakfast/brunch will be available in the main dining hall.
